How To Play 5 Card
Stud Poker
The
Five-Card Stud Poker is somehow similar to the
Five Card Draw, the only difference is that in
Five-Card Stud Poker, you do not get a chance to
exchange cards in your hand which mean you can’t
improve that hand. Whereas in Seven Card Stud
Poker, you receive 4 open cards and a hole card
for all to see. It is one of the oldest variants
of the generous stud poker game. Now, it was not
as much popular as it was at the time of
American Civil War. However, it is still worth
learning about this game as it comes with some
clear-cut rules.
How to start with Five-Card Stud Poker?
The game starts with a deal to every gamer of
one card face up and one card face down. The
very first bet can come from either of two
options; one is the forced bet where the gamer
holding the face-up card with the lowest rank
must put in a specific amount of cash. Another
option is that the gamer has the choice of
whether to bet or the check move to the gamer
with the highest face-up card. Now, after
completing the round of the betting, other
remaining gamers receives another face-up card.
From this point of the game, the gamer with the
highest poker hand will bet first. Similarly,
after every round of the betting, other gamers
will dealt another card face-up and this process
will be continued till each gamer gets four card
face-up. When the fourth face-up card is dealt,
now it’s time for the final betting. Now, all
remaining gamer will disclose their face-down
cards to reveal all their five card poker hand.
Finally the gamer having the highest hands
considered as the winner of the game. The best
winning rule of this game is if both of your
hole cards or face-down cards are greater than
any of your challenger’s up-card then you have
great chances of winning the game.
